It would be a big mistake to base our security knowledge only on known vulnerabilities.
We live in a dangerous world so we have to be inventive.

When all the classic angles of attack have been exploited, we have to start over and look for what no one else has seen before.
Our research work involves analysis of code, digital fragments, signals, but also human procedures which inevitably reveal flaws at one time or another.
Our goal is to detect them as quickly as possible, to document them and to develop a patch in order to limit the risks of malicious attacks.

But sometimes, the damage is already done. We must therefore be doubly inventive in order to reverse the machine.
In this situation, we also aim to develop temporary countermeasures.
